Ingredients for Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

  • Crab meat ¾ cup

  • Button mushrooms stems removed 12-16

  • Gruyere cheese grated ½ cup

  • Mozzarella cheese grated ½ cup

  • Spring onion greens 1-2 stalks

  • Fresh red chillies chopped 1-2

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Refined flour (maida) ¼ cup + for dusting

  • milk 4 tablespoons + as required

  • Panko for coating

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Mix together crab meat, gruyere cheese, mozzarella cheese, spring onion greens, fresh red chillies, salt and crushed peppercorns in a bowl.

Step 2

Add flour and milk and mix well.

Step 3

Stuff the mushroom caps with this crab meat mixture.

Step 4

Spread panko on a plate and add parsley, mix well. Spread flour on another plate. Pour some milk in a bowl.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a pan for frying.

Step 6

Dust the stuffed mushrooms with flour, dip in milk and coat with the panko mixture.

Step 7

Deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 8

Serve hot.
