By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 May 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fresh coriander leaves,chopped , Tamarind Cuisine TamilNadu Course Pickle Jams Chutneys Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Coriander Thokku 2 cups Fresh coriander leaves,chopped 1 cup Tamarind 1 cup Red chillies 1/2 cup Oil 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida 3 tablespoons Salt 1 tablespoon Jaggery (gur),grated 1 1/2 teaspoons Mustard powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Fenugreek powder Method Soak tamarind and red chillies in two cups of water for half an hour. Grind tamarind and red chillies with coriander leaves to a paste. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add asafoetida, stir and sauté till dry. Add salt and grated jaggery and mix well. Cook on a medium heat till jaggery gets dissolved. Remove the mixture from the heat. Add mustard powder, fenugreek powder and mix well.
