Ingredients list for Cool Cool Lauki

  • 1 1/2 kilogram Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi)
  • 3 cups Fresh cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Grate the bottle gourd. Set aside.
  2. Heat a non stick pan, add the grated bottle gourd and cook it with sugar and cardamom powder till soft and dry.
  3. Remove from the heat and cool. When it is completely cool add the cream and honey and whisk lightly.
  4. Freeze in an air tight container. When it’s about ¾ frozen, remove into a bowl and beat slowly for 10 minutes. Then refreeze.
  5. Scoop into bowls and serve cold.
