Ingredients list for Coconut raita

  • 4 tablespoons Coconut
  • 3 tablespoons Yogurt
  • 1 small Tomato chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
  • 10-12 Curry leaves
  • a pinch Asafoetida

Method

  1. In a large bowl mix together, coconut, yogurt, tomatoes and salt and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
  3. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and hing and mix well.
  4. Add this to the yogurt and mix well.
  5. Serve.
