Ingredients list for Chilli Wings

  • 8-12 Chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (Mexican red chilli sauce) / red chilli sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 8-9 Garlic cloves
  • 3-4 Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Onion seeds (kalonji)

  1. Place chicken wings in a bowl, add salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well. Marinate in a refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Grind together ginger, garlic, mint leaves, olive oil, sriracha sauce/red chilli sauce and brown sugar into a smooth mixture.
  3. Add ground mixture to the chicken wings and mix well. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 200º C.
  5. Add 1 tsp onion seeds to the marinated chicken and mix well. Place the wings on a baking tray, spread the leftover marinade on top and sprinkle remaining onion seeds on top.
  6. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Arrange on a serving plate and serve hot.
