Ingredients for Chilli Basil Chicken Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breast seeded 2-3

  • Fresh basil 1 cup

  • Boneless chicken breasts cut into thin shreds 400 grams

  • Onions 2 medium

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Fish sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Dark soy sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Green curry paste 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic 10-12

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Slice onions. Heat oil in a non stick wok, add onions and sauté.

Step 2

Diagonally slice green chillies. When onions turn soft, add green chillies and continue to sauté.

Step 3

Mix chicken with fish sauce, dark soy sauce and green curry paste and let it stand for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Halve garlic cloves lengthways and add to the wok. Sauté for 10 seconds more.

Step 5

Add chicken, salt and sugar and mix well. Cook on high heat for 1-2 minutes.

Step 6

Add basil leaves and mix well. Cook till the chicken is done. Serve hot.
