By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Boneless chicken breasts, Walnuts Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Chicken in Walnut Sauce 4 Boneless chicken breasts ½ cup Walnuts to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon Olive oil Walnut sauce - 2 tablespoons Butter 1 medium Onion finely chopped 2-3 Garlic cloves finely chopped 1 tablespoon Refined flour (maida) 2 cups Chicken stock to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns ½ teaspoon Red chilli flakes 3-4 Thyme sprigs Method Advertisment Take chicken breasts in a bowl. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and garlic, mix and set aside to marinate. To make walnut sauce, heat some water in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil. Add walnuts and boil for five minutes. Strain the walnuts reserving the water. Grind the boiled walnuts along with some of the reserved walnut water to make a smooth paste. Heat butter in another non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add garlic and sauté for one minute. Add flour, mix and sauté for one minute. Add chicken stock and bring to boil. Add walnut paste, salt, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes and torn thyme sprigs, mix well and cook for four to five minutes or till the sauce thickens. Heat olive oil in another non-stick pan. Place the marinated chicken breasts and cook from both sides till golden and done. Remove from heat and slice. Place sliced chicken on a serving platter, pour walnut sauce on top and serve hot.
