Chicken Mushroom Dumplings

Ingredients list for Chicken Mushroom Dumplings

  • 250 grams Chicken mince
  • 8-10 Button mushrooms stems removed, boiled and squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped, 1 tablespoon +
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh mint leaves chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 6-7 Fresh basil leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • Egg yolk 1
  • for greasing Butter 1 tablespoon +
  • ¼ cup Rice soaked for 20-25 minutes
  • 3-4 tablespoons Yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • to serve Onion rings

Method

  1. Put mushrooms, chicken mince, 1 tablespoon garlic, mint leaves, 1 teaspoon coriander leaves, 3-4 torn basil leaves, salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper powder in a blender jar and blend to a smooth mixture.
  2. Add egg yolk and blend again. Transfer mixture into a bowl.
  3. Heat sufficient water in a steamer and grease the steamer plate with butter.
  4. Divide mushroom mixture into equal portions and shape them into small balls or dumplings. Coat one side of the dumplings in the soaked rice and place on the steamer plate. Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes.
  5. To make sauce, Put yogurt, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 teaspoon coriander leaves, remaining pepper powder, salt, remaining torn basil leaves and lemon juice in a blender jar and blend well. Transfer into a serving bowl.
  6. Place lots of onion rings on one side of a serving dish and put the bowl with the sauce on another side. Place the dumplings over the onion rings and serve immediately.
