Ingredients list for Cheese Triangles

  • 2 cups Refined Flour
  • 1 cup Processed Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Margarine
  • to taste Salt
  • to deep fry Oil
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 stalks Spring onion greens
  • a few Fresh parsley sprigs
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon White pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dry oregano

Method

  1. Sieve refined flour with salt. Cut margarine into the sieved flour and rub in lightly with fingertips.
  2. Add sufficient water and knead into a stiff dough. Keep covered with a damp cloth for half an hour.
  3. To make the stuffing peel, wash and chop onion. Trim, wash and chop spring onion greens. Clean, wash and chop parsley.
  4. Combine processed cheese, mozzarella cheese, onion, spring onion greens, parsley, red chilli flakes, white pepper powder and oregano and lightly mix using a wooden spoon.
  5. Divide dough into sixteen equal portions and roll out into oval shapes. Cut into half and shape into a cone. Fill with cheese stuffing and seal the edges.
  6. Refrigerate for about half an hour. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry cheese triangles till crisp and golden. Drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot.
