Ingredients list for Chayote Salad

  • 1 Avacado
  • 1/2 cup Black Bengal Gram vertically sliced
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 small Tomato chopped
  • 1 Green chilli chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan add chayote and salt and saute till it ias tender.
  2. In a large bowl combine together chayote mixture, black chana, onions, tomatoes, green chillie, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, black salt, salt, lemon juice and mix well. Serve cold sprinkled with chopped coriander leaves.
