Ingredients list for Carrot Halwa with Rose

  • 2 cups Carrot grated
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 5 tablespoons Ghee
  • 3/4 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
  • 1/2 cup Mixed nuts
  • 1 cup Khoya/mawa grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 2 teaspoon Rose water
  • a few strands Saffron (kesar)

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan add carrots and saute for five minutes.
  2. Add milk and cook till milk is absorbed.
  3. Add jaggery, khoya, cardamon powder, rose water and saffron and saute for a minute.
  4. Serve hot.
