Ingredients list for Cake Pops

  • 100 grams Chocolate sponge cake
  • 100 grams Vanilla sponge cake
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 100 grams Icing sugar
  • 50 grams Dark chocolate chopped
  • 50 grams White chocolate chopped
  • 20 Stick Lollypop
  • as required Different sprinklers

Method

  1. Put butter in a large mixing bowl, add vanilla essence and icing sugar and beat till well combined.
  2. Crumble chocolate sponge cake and mix with half of butter-icing sugar mixture. Mix well with your hands. Divide into 10 small portions, roll into balls, ensuring that there are no cracks on them, and place on butter paper.
  3. Similarly crumble vanilla sponge and add with remaining butter icing-sugar mixture, roll into 10 balls, ensuring there are no cracks on them, and place on a butter paper.
  4. Melt dark chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute. Whisk well. Dip the tips of the lollypop sticks, one by one, in melted chocolate and insert in the prepared balls. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for a minute and whisk well.
  6. Take out the cake pops from the refrigerator and keep out for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Dip some of the cake pops in melted dark chocolate and others in white chocolate till they are completely coated.
  8. Sprinkle with different sprinklers and place in shot glasses. Serve immediately.
