By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole Wheat Flour, Black gram Cuisine Bihari Course Breads Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Black Gram Sattu Roti 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour to taste Black gram 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 cup Milk 1 1/2 cups Black gram sattu 1 a pinch Asafoetida 1 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons Sugar to serve Pure ghee Method Advertisment Sieve atta with salt. Place in a bowl. Add cumin seeds. Knead into soft dough using half the quantity of milk. If required use water. Keep dough aside. Take black gram sattu in a bowl. Add asafoetida, carom seeds, red chilli powder, sugar and salt to taste. Knead into a dough using remaining milk. If required use water. Divide into eight equal portions and roll into small even sized balls. Divide wheat dough into eight equal portions. Shape into a thick disc and place one portion of sattu dough in the center. Gather the edges and seal. Roll out into a roti of three inches diameter. Heat a tawa and roast the roti on both sides till done. Apply ghee and serve hot.
