By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Beetroot, Sugar Cuisine Indian Course Beverages Prep Time 3-Above Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Beetroot Wine 2 kilograms Beetroot peeled and cut into cubes 1 kilogram Sugar 6 Cloves 1 inch Ginger 2 Orange juice 4 tablespoons Lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon Yeast 1 Bread slices toasted Method Soak the beetroot pieces in water for a couple of hours. Boil in 3 litres water along with the ginger and cloves till the beetroot is soft. Mash well and cool to room temperature. Strain and add the sugar, orange juice and lemon juice. When cold pour into a stone jar. Spread the yeast on the bread slice and allow it to float in the liquid. Keep the jar closed for 14 days. Strain the wine into another vessel. Let it stand for a week then strain way the sediments and bottle.
