Ingredients list for Beans Foogath

  • 400 grams French beans finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 8-10 Curry leaves
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Coconut scraped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

  1. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. When mustard seeds begin to splutter add onion and green chillies. Stir on high heat for a minute. Do not brown the onion.
  2. Add French beans and salt. Cook, covered, on low heat for five to seven minutes or till beans are cooked but are still a little crunchy. Add coconut and lemon juice. Mix well and serve hot.
