Barbecued Chicken Chicken marinated with barbeque and cooked in oven. By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Feb 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken, Barbeque sauce Cuisine American Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 1-1.30 hour Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Barbecued Chicken 800 grams Chicken whole Barbeque sauce 2 medium Onions 4 tablespoons Butter 2 cloves Garlic crushed 1 cup Tomato ketchup 1/4 cup Chilli sauce 1 teaspoon Mustard powder 1/2 cup Brown sugar 1/4 cup Vinegar 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Salt Method Skin the chicken and make incisions with a sharp knife on breast and leg pieces. Finely chop one onion, cut the other into roundels and then separate the rings. Keep the onion rings in chilled water to make it crisp. Heat two tablespoons of butter in a non stick pan, add finely chopped onions and garlic and fry till translucent. Add tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, mustard powder, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and salt and simmer on low heat for ten minutes. Set aside to cool. Keep aside a little sauce to serve with the cooked chicken and apply the remaining to the chicken and let it stand for about an hour in a refrigerator. Preheat oven to 180°C. Cook the chicken in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for ten to twelve minutes or until almost done. Baste it with the remaining butter and cook for another four minutes Serve hot with crisp rings of onion and the reserved barbecue sauce.
