Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas,mashed
    1 cup
  • Sunflower seeds (charoli/chironji)
    1 cup
  • Refined flour (maida)
    1 cup
  • Salt
    a pinch
  • Baking soda
    1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat flour (atta)
    1 cup
  • Nutmeg
    small piece
  • Unsalted butter
    1/2 cup
  • Castor sugar (caster sugar)
    1 cup

Method

Step 1


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 2


Sift maida, salt, soda, cinnamon powder and atta into a bowl. Grate a little nutmeg into it and mix.

Step 3


Cream together butter and sugar in another bowl till light. Add mashed bananas and mix well.

Step 4


Add flour mixture and mix. Keep aside a few sunflower seeds for topping and add the rest to the batter and mix well.

Step 5


Line a baking tray with silicon sheet. Spoon small portions of the batter onto it, keeping some distance between each.

Step 6


Sprinkle some sunflower seeds on top of each and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or till light brown. Do not over bake.

Step 7


Remove from oven, cool and serve.
