By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Green peas, Paneer (cottage cheese) Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Baked Matar Paneer Bread Rolls 1/2 cup Green peas (matar), blanched 1 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated 4 Brown bread slices for greasing Oil to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar) to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon Cheddar cheese grated 1/2 tablespoon Fresh cream as required Milk Method Preheat oven at 180ºC. Grease a baking tray with some oil. Combine cottage cheese and green peas in a bowl and mix well and mash. Add salt, castor sugar, crushed peppercorns, carom seeds, green chillies, chopped coriander and cheese and mix well. Add cream and mix well. Soak bread slices in milk, squeeze the excess and flatten them with a rolling pin. Spread a portion of the prepared cottage cheese mixture on it and roll tightly. Place them on the greased baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat, cut into halves diagonally and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
