Ingredients list for Apple and Walnut Raita

  • 3-4 medium Apples peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 6 tablespoons Walnuts broken + a few for garnish
  • 2½ cups Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon Chaat masala
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick pan. Add apples, sugar and walnuts and mix well and let the mixture caramelize.
  2. In the meanwhile, take yogurt in a bowl. Add red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and salt and mix well.
  3. Chill the yogurt in the refrigerator.
  4. Once the apples and walnuts are caramelized, transfer them onto a plate and let them cool down to room temperature.
  5. Add apple and walnut mixture to the chilled yogurt and mix well.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with walnuts.
