Ingredients list for Apple Burgers

  • 2 Apples grated
  • 4 Burger Buns
  • 1 cup Onion minced
  • 2 cups Bread crumbs
  • 1 medium Green capsicum chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • 2 cups Cooked rice
  • 6 tablespoons Rolled oats ground
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon powder
  • for shallow frying Oil
  • as required Mayonnaise

Method

  1. Squeeze out some of the juice of the apples, place the residue in bowl with onions, breadcrumbs, green capsicum, ginger, rice, half the oats, salt, pepper powder and cinnamon powder and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in non stick frying pan over medium heat. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into patties, adding more breadcrumbs if necessary. Coat them with remaining oats.
  3. Place them in the pan and shallow fry, over medium heat, for 2-3 minutes on each side or till golden on both sides. To assemble the burgers, slit each burger bun in the centre and spread some mayonnaise on the inside of the bun. Place a pattie on the base half, cover the upper half and secure with a toothpick. Serve immediately.
