Andhra Chicken Fry This chicken delicacy comes to you all the way from Andhra. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Jul 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken, Turmeric powder Cuisine Andhra Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Difficult Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Andhra Chicken Fry 750 grams Chicken cut into 2 inch pieces on the bone ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons Coriander powder 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Oil 2 Green chillies slit 8-10 Curry leaves 3 large Onions sliced ½ cup Onion paste 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped Spice powder 2-3 Cloves ½ inch Cinnamon 2-3 Green cardamom 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns Method Grind cloves, cinnamon, green cardamoms and black peppercorns to a fine powder. Take chicken in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, the ground spice mix and salt. Mix well and set aside for 15-20 minutes. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add green chillies, curry leaves and onions and sauté till light golden. Add onion paste and sauté for 1minute. Add marinated chicken and sear on high heat for 2 minutes. Add ½ cup water, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes or till the chicken is fully done.
