(08/30/2013)

Wearing a blue check shirt and maroon pants, cracking jokes while cooking delicious delicacies, celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor was all game throughout ‘Stunners - recipes with a twist’ programme at Crown Plaza on Tuesday. With the power of cooking and making the art of cooking look easy, less-daunting and easily accessible to everyone, chef Sanjeev Kapoor shared some of his kitchen secrets during the programme.

“In this day and age when parties, be it regular home parties or large banquet parties, is an every day occasion, serving homemade delectables always creates a wow factor among the guests. So, for these kind of parties, do things that are not expected. Always bring in lots of innovation while presenting your food”, said Sanjeev. The demonstration session began in the morning with more than 150 participants taking part in the event. “While cooking a dish always have a positive attitude. Power of positive thinking has lots to do with cooking. Even if your dish does not turn out good the first time, go for it as many times as you have to until you are perfect in the art. And never have the feeling of failure in the heart while preparing some new dish”, said the chef as a tip for good cooking.

Sanjeev Kapoor began the event by making the easy to make ‘Vietnamese spring roll’ and ‘Veg biryani roll’ and ended with making sweet ‘Blueberry cheese cake’. As a parting advice, the chef said, “In India, lifestyle diseases are on the rise so always focus on eating healthy and try to cook at home whenever possible. Having regular excercise is also important.” The event also saw celebrities like MLA Hibi Eden and wife Anna Eden, as well as cine actor Krishna taking culinary tips from the celebrity chef. The programme was organised by Pooja Malhotra in association with Fourth Dimension, and was presented by Preethi.
