Chef Shilarna Vaze
Chef Shilarna Vaze, traveler, blogger and eco-food connoisseur, brings the sunshine into your kitchen with her chirpy attitude and fresh recipes. Armed with a degree in Political Science, chef Chinu, as she is popularly known, has worked as a columnist for Mumbai Times, Vogue magazine & Outlook Traveler Elle magazine and etc. is quite a popular face on Indian television. Amidst all this, she recognized food as her true calling and got a degree in Diplome de Cuisine course (one year course- basic, intermediate, superior levels in the year 2004) Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. Armed with a degree from the top ranking culinary institute in the world - Shilarna returned to India and settled in Goa, working for some of its finest kitchens as A Reverie and Sublime and interned at other bigwigs like Indigo deli and rain. While waiting to open a restaurant of her own, Shilarna started a successful sushi delivery service, Ninja Sushi, which further boosted her reputation as one of India's most adored chefs. She now runs a gourmet catering service called Gaia Home Chef with her Swiss chef husband where they cater for consulates, Bollywood celebrities, international brands and corporates. She now hosts ‘sunny side up’ on foodfood where she prepares fusion brunch recipes that break all the rules of the kitchen, push all the boundaries of flavor and stimulate your senses like never before.
