Chef Christophe Perrin
Born and raised in Switzerland, Christophe Perrin visited India in 1998 for the first time and ever since he found himself coming back time and again. It was no surprise that once he met Chef Shilarna Vaze (our very own style chef on Foodfood), food became an important facet of their lives together. After running a successful restaurant called Gaia in Goa followed by a sushi home delivery service called Ninja Sushi, they branched into catering and started Gaia Home Chef. This is an upscale, gourmet catering service that makes eclectic and authentic world cuisine that uses only the best produce available. Chef Christophe got most of his hands on experience early in life by assisting his father in the kitchen at home as well as in their restaurant. They currently do brilliant Japanese, South East Asian, Maharashtrian, French, Italian, Mexican and American style BBQ with fresh ingredients, putting contemporary twist to classics. Gaia Home chefs have quite a few high end clients and cater to all kinds of events from birthdays, parties, corporate lunches, shoots, baby showers, bachelorette parties to sit down pre-plated dinners. He is also very interested in horticulture and loves to grow most of his produce in-house! We got Chef Christophe to share two of his favourite recipes with us – A delicious goat cheese and spinach tart made from scratch and a gooey Mississippi mud pie!
