Ingredients list for Turkish Kabab

  • 400 grams Mutton mince (keema)
  • 2 medium Onions chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • for shallow frying Olive oil

Method

  1. Grind together mutton mince, onions and garlic and transfer into a bowl.
  2. Add lemon juice, oregano, crushed peppercorns, salt, cumin powder and turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into twelve equal portions and shape them into oblong kababs.
  4. Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan. Place the kababs in it and shallow-fry, stirring often, till golden and fully cooked.
  5. Serve hot.
