Ingredients list for Spicy Chicken

  • 200 grams Boneless chicken breasts cut into slices
  • 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon Sichuan seasoning
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • + to deep fry Oil 1 tablespoon
  • 3-4 Green chillies sliced
  • 2-3 Spring onions with greens sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Method

  1. Take chicken slices in a bowl. Add the flour, chilli powder, cumin powder, Sichuan seasoning, ginger, garlic and salt, mix well and set aside to marinatefor ten to fifteen minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Deep-fry chicken slices till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  3. Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add green chillies and spring onion bulbs and sauté well.
  4. Add the fried chicken and lemon juice and toss well.
  5. Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
