Spicy Chicken Lollypops

Ingredients list for Spicy Chicken Lollypops

  • 12-16 Chicken lollypops
  • 1 tablespoon Sichuan sauce
  • Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
  • 1 tablespoon Yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 4-5 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 medium Capsicum cut into strips
  • 1 medium Tomato cut into strips
  • 1 medium Onion thickly sliced
  • to sprinkle Chaat masala 1 teaspoon +
  • 3-4 Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • to serve Lemon wedges

Method

  1. Put lollypops in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, Sichuan sauce, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add marinated lollypops, apply leftover marinade on top and sear on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip, lower heat, cover and cook till the chicken is fully done.
  3. To make salad, put capsicum, tomato, onion, salt, chaat masala, remaining lemon juice and hand torn lettuce leaves in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Transfer the lollypops onto a serving plate. Place the salad along, sprinkle chaat masala on top and serve hot with a lemon wedge.
