Ingredients list for Spiced Chocolate Cookies

  • 1½ cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate melted
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brown sugar/jaggery
  • ½ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 114 grams Butter softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ cup Cocoa powder
  • for dusting Icing sugar

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with a silicon mat.
  2. Combine brown sugar, castor sugar and butter in a bowl and whisk well with an electric beater.
  3. Break in eggs and whisk. Add melted dark chocolate and whisk well.
  4. Sieve together flour, chilli powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and cocoa powder into the mixture and whisk. Add chocolate chips and whisk well.
  5. Fill a piping bag with this mixture and pipe out cookies on the lined baking tray.
  6. Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
  7. Dust some icing sugar on top and serve.
