By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Hung yogurt, Sugar Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Shrikhand Wadi 2 cups Hung yogurt Sugar 3 cups Sugar 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder a few strands Saffron (kesar) optional 1/4 cup Mixed nuts 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 2 tablespoons Pistachios blanched and slivered Method Mix hung yogurt and sugar well in a pan. Cook on medium heat stirring continuously. Cook for fifteen to twenty minutes or till it becomes thick and leaves the sides of the pan. Add nutmeg powder, saffron, nuts and green cardamom powder and mix. Grease a tray. Transfer the cooked yogurt mixture onto the greased tray and pat to smoothen the top. Cool and allow to set. Cut into desired shapes, garnish with pistachios and serve.
