Sev ki Sabzi Sev cooked in flavourful masala This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jan 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sev, Onion seeds (kalonji) Cuisine Madhya Pradesh Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Sev ki Sabzi 1 cup Sev hard and thick 1/2 teaspoon Onion seeds (kalonji) 1/2 tablespoon Oil 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 2-3 Cloves 1 medium Onion finely chopped 2 Green chillies to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Tamarind pulp 2 teaspoons Grated jaggery 7-8 Fresh coriander sprigs for garnishing Green capsicum strips Method Heat oil in a Wonderchef Granite Frying Pan, add asafoetida, onion seeds, cloves and onion, mix and sauté till the onion is lightly browned. Finely chop green chillies and add along with ½ cup water, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tamarind pulp and jaggery. Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil. Add sev and mix well. Cook for a minute. Roughly chop coriander sprigs and add. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with capsicum strips and serve hot.
