Ingredients list for Seafood Cakes

  • ½ cup Crab meat tinned
  • ½ cup Shrimps chopped
  • ½ cup Indian salmon (rawas) boneless, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 Spring onion bulbs finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun spice mix
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 2-3 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 one-inch pieces Lemon juice
  • for shallow frying Olive oil
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Take fish, crab meat, shrimps, onion, spring onion bulbs, garlic, mayonnaise, mustard sauce, parsley, paprika, green chillies, Cajun spice mix, salt, crushed peppercorns, Tabasco sauce and breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  2. Divide the seafood mixture into small equal portions. Dampen your palms with some water and shape each portion into cakes.
  3. Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan. Shallow-fry the cakes, turning sides, till golden and fully cooked on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
