Ingredients list for Pickled Prawns Indian Style

  • 1 cup Prawns shelled and deveined
  • 10-12 Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 6-8 Red birds eye chillies
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 medium Onion cut into cubes
  • 1/4 medium Green capsicum chopped
  • 1/4 small Chinese cabbage
  • 260 grams Bhuna masala
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped

  1. Chop garlic, ginger and red bird’s eye chillies in a chopper and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai. Add chopped mixture and sauté till golden.
  3. Add onion and capsicum and sauté for a minute.
  4. Finely chop cabbage and add to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes
  5. Add bhuna masala, and sauté for a minute. Add soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, salt and prawns and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes or till the prawns are just done.
  6. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
