Mutton curry  Recipe

Mutton marinated in coconut oil and mint leaves and cooked with whole garam masalas.

  • Boneless mutton cut into 1 inch pieces
    400 grams
  • Coconut oil
    3 tablespoon
  • Dry mint leaves
    1 tablespoon
  • Green cardamoms
  • Lemon juice
    2 tablespoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste
    2 tablespoon
  • Red chilli paste
    1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Olive oil
    2 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves
  • Cloves
  • Green cardamoms
  • Cinnamon
    1 Stick
  • Onions
    2 medium
  • Dry red chilies steamed
  • Tomato paste
    2 tablespoon
  • coriander leaves chopped
    2 tablespoon


Step 1

Marinate mutton with coconut oil, mint flakes, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli paste, garam masala and salt.

Step 2

Put the marinated mutton in a non stick pan. Add two cups of water, cover and cook till meat is tender.Heat olive oil in a non stick pan. Add curry leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and sauté for half a minute.

Step 3

Add onions, red chillies and sauté till onions are golden brown.Add tomato paste and stir for four to five minutes.

Step 4

Add mutton. Check the seasonings.Cook for ten to fifteen minutes.Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
