Malai Tangdi Kabab

Ingredients list for Malai Tangdi Kabab

  • 8 Chicken drumsticks skinless
  • ¼ cup Fresh cream
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste 1 tablespoon +
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste 1 tablespoon +
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Cheese spread
  • ¼ cup Yogurt whisked
  • to taste White pepper powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • for greasing Melted butter
  • for garnishing Onion rings
  • for garnishing Mint sprig
  • for garnishing Lemon wedges

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 200ºC.
  2. Slit chicken drumsticks without cutting through and place in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 1 tablespoon ginger paste, salt and 1 teaspoon lemon juice and rub well. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Combine 1 teaspoon garlic paste, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, remaining lemon juice, salt and cheese in another bowl and mix well. Add yogurt and mix again. Add white pepper powder, green cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mix. Add chopped coriander and mix well. Add fresh cream and mix well.
  4. Add marinated chicken and coat well. Set aside to marinate further for 15 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated chicken drumsticks on a baking tray. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Take the baking tray out after 10 minutes, brush with butter and bake again for the remaining 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot garnished with onion rings, mint sprig and lemon wedge.
