Ingredients list for Kachaalu Te Kamrakh Da Salad

  • 1 Star fruit sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind chutney
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 2 tablespoons Tamarind chutney
  • 1 tablespoon Green chutney
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • for garnish Potato wafers

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick grill pan. Cube the taro and grill them on the pan. Roughly slice the star fruit.
  2. Transfer taro into a bowl, add black salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, tamarind chutney, green chutney and salt.
  3. Chop onion and add to the bowl. Keep aside some star fruit slices for garnishing, add rest of the star fruit and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Transfer into serving bowl, garnish with reserved star fruit, potato wafers and serve.
