Ingredients for Italian Thin Crust Pizza Recipe

  • Refined flour 450 gms + for dusting

  • Tomato sauce 5 grams

  • sugar 1½ teaspoons

  • salt ½ teaspoon

  • olive oil 3½ teaspoons

  • tomato sauce 2-3 tablespoons

  • grated mozzarella cheese 2-3 tablespoons

  • mixed bell peppers cut into strips and sautéed ¼ cup

  • onion cut into strips 1 medium

  • mushrooms sliced and sautéed 8-10

  • black olives pitted and roughly chopped 7-8

Method

Step 1

Dissolve yeast and sugar in ¼ cup lukewarm water.

Step 2

Combine salt and refined flour in a bowl. Add dissolved yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough using olive oil and sufficient water. Remove the dough from the maker and set aside for 2-3 hours.

Step 3

Dust the worktop with little flour and spread the dough with your fingers. Roll out into a large thin disc dusting with flour.

Step 4

Spread tomato sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Place mixed bell peppers, onion, mushrooms and olives on top.

Step 5

Dust a pizza pale with little flour and slide the pizza onto it. Slide the pizza into a brick pizza oven and bake for 6-7 minutes.

Step 6

Remove from oven, cut into wedges and serve hot.
