By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Refined Flour, Dried Figs Cuisine American Course Desserts Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Honeyed Fig And Walnut Cookies 1 3/4 cups Refined Flour 6 tablespoons Dried Figs 15 Dried figs finely chopped 10-12 Walnut kernels chopped 1 cup Butter 1/4 cup Brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon Clove powder a pinch Salt 1 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate 10 Dried dates (chuhare) 2 Eggs 175 grams Rolled oats Method Preheat the oven to 180˚C. Grease a baking tray. Take butter in a bowl and cream it. Add dried figs, sugar and continue to cream. Add honey and mix. In a separate bowl, mix together vanilla essence, cinnamon and clove powders, pinch of salt, soda bicarbonate and chopped dates. In a third bowl break the eggs and beat well. Add the mixture from the second bowl (date and spice mixture) and mix. Add the butter mixture and mix well. Add walnuts, flour and mix. Add rolled oats and mix. Put tablespoons of batter onto the greased baking tray keeping enough distance between each spoonful. Bake at 180°C for twenty to twenty five minutes.
