Ingredients list for Green Soup

  • 350 grams Spinach chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Split pigeon pea (toor dal/arhar dal)
  • 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
  • 10-15 Black peppercorns
  • 1 medium Onion
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Butter

Method

  1. Pressure cook, spinach, onion, ginger, peppercorns, split pigeon peas and salt togeher with 300 ml water. Cook till 2 whistles.
  2. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Grind the mixture well.
    Boil the puree again till hot.
  3. Pour in four soup bowls and serve hot garnished with 1 tablespoon each of butter.
