Ingredients list for Doughnuts

  • 3¼ cups Refined Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Milk
  • 15 grams Fresh yeast dissolved in water
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • 110 grams Butter softened
  • to deep fry Oil
  • for coatin Powdered sugar

  1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Make a well in the center of the mixture, add yeast water, sugar and milk. Break egg and add and mix well. Add butter and mix well. Knead this mixture into a soft dough. Cover the bowl with a muslin cloth and set aside for 1- 1½ hours.
  2. Knock back the dough, dust with refined flour and refrigerate for 4-5 hours. Knock back the dough again. Roll out the dough to about one inch thickness. Stamp out one and a half inch rounds with a doughnut cutter.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the doughnuts on medium heat till golden brown.
  4. Take powdered sugar in a bowl and coat the fried doughnuts in it.
  5. Transfer the doughnuts on a serving plate and serve immediately.
