Ingredients list for Dal Jo Lolo

  • 1 1/2 cups Wholewheat Flour
  • 2 cups Split green gram skinless
  • as required Ghee

Method

  1. Cook the dal with salt, three cups of water and turmeric powder on low heat. It can take fifteen-twenty minutes. Sprinkle red chilli powder and dry mango powder on dal and allow it to cool.
  2. Divide the stuffing into four equal portions. Take atta in a deep bowl and add salt. Knead a soft dough using water as required. Keep covered for five to ten minutes.
  3. Divide dough into four equal portions. Roll out into small chapattis. Take a portion of the dal stuffing and place it on the chapatti. Close the edges and roll out into a thick parantha.
  4. Heat a tawa. Cook the parantha on both sides using ghee as required. Serve hot.
