Ingredients list for Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

  • ¾ cup Crab meat
  • 12-16 Button mushrooms stems removed
  • ½ cup Gruyere cheese grated
  • ½ cup Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1-2 stalks Spring onion greens
  • 1-2 Fresh red chillies chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • + for dusting Refined flour (maida) ¼ cup
  • as required milk 4 tablespoons +
  • for coating Panko
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Mix together crab meat, gruyere cheese, mozzarella cheese, spring onion greens, fresh red chillies, salt and crushed peppercorns in a bowl.
  2. Add flour and milk and mix well.
  3. Stuff the mushroom caps with this crab meat mixture.
  4. Spread panko on a plate and add parsley, mix well. Spread flour on another plate. Pour some milk in a bowl.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a pan for frying.
  6. Dust the stuffed mushrooms with flour, dip in milk and coat with the panko mixture.
  7. Deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  8. Serve hot.
