Ingredients for Basic Cookie Dough Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 340 grams

  • Rice flour 170 grams

  • Butter 400 grams

  • Icing sugar 170 grams

  • Vanilla essence a few

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Take butter in a bowl. Add icing sugar and cream the mixture with an electric blender.

Step 3

Add vanilla essence and blend again.

Step 4

Sift together refined flour and rice flour into another bowl.

Step 5

Add flour mixture to butter-sugar mixture little by little and blend lightly till well mixed. Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour.

Step 6

Divide dough into equal portions, shape them into balls and weigh them so that they are all of the same size. Pat them and shape into small cookies.

Step 7

Place cookies on a baking tray in a criss-cross way, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 8

Remove from heat, cool and serve or store in an airtight container for a week.
