CABBAGE CHANA DAL
Cabbage with split bengal gram
Preparation Time : 30 minutes
Cooking Time : 12-15 minutes
Servings : 4
INGREDIENTS
Cabbage, chopped
500 grams
Split Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked
100 grams
Oil
2 tablespoons
Mustard seeds
1 teaspoon
Whole dry red chillies, halved
4
Ginger paste
1 teaspoon
Garlic paste
1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
to taste
METHOD
Boil chana dal in approximately three cups of water till almost done taking care that the grains remain intact. Strain and set aside.Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, red chillies, ginger paste and garlic paste. Stir and cook for two to three minutes. Add cabbage and cook until soft. Add turmeric powder and salt and boiled chana dal and mix well. Stir and let it cook for two to three minutes. Serve hot.
