5 anti-aging miracles from your kitchen

Dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spot, dullness and open pores are the 5 things that are responsible for skin aging much faster than you. Like most other things, these signs of aging too have cures that are hidden in your kitchen. Take a look at these 5 face masks that are literally anti-aging miracles from your kitchen!

Ande ka funda

Egg white + Lemon Juice = tighter skin

A face pack that hits two birds with one stone - The proteins and minerals in egg whites help get rid of toxic free radicals that cause your skin to sag and lemon juice helps get rid of blemishes and scars.

Mix both these gorgeous ingredients, apply it on your skin and let it dry for about 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with water and a mild face wash to get rid of the eggy smell.

Back to your roots

Turmeric + gram flour + rose water =rid dark spots

Gram flour and rose water are great ingredients to use if you have oily skin; in this face mask they work with the antioxidants in turmeric to reduce scars caused by pimples and get rid of enzymes that produce melanin, the compound responsible for skin darkening and tanning. Everybody from your mother to grandmother will approve of this age old face pack!

Mix gram flour, rose water and a small pinch of turmeric and rub it well on your skin like a scrub. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and wash it off with water.

One for all

Oats + yogurt + honey = glow baby glow

These ingredients don’t just make a power packed breakfast, but a fantastic face pack too! Oatmeal as an ingredient in a face pack is suited for all types of skin. It has anti-inflammatory and properties which help soothe dry itchy skin on one hand and absorb excess oil from skin pores on the other. The probiotics in yogurt nourish your skin and cleanse pores while honey acts as a natural moisturizer.

Apply a thick paste of the three ingredients on your face; leave it on for about 10 - 15 minutes and then wash off with water. You can almost instantly notice the change.

Banana republic

Bananas + Olive Oil = diminish fine lines and wrinkles

Bananas are a rich source of potassium, zinc and Vitamins A, B, C and E which work brilliantly to reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines that are caused by oxidative stress and free radicals. Olive oil acts as a natural moisturizer and helps your skin absorb nutrition from the pack better.

Wash and dry your face before applying the pack. Leave it on for 15 minutes before washing it off with cool water again. Do this at least once a day.

Salad days

Tomato + Cucumber = Close open pores

Who would have thought that these simple salad ingredients canwork such wonders in a face pack? Tomatoes have a ton of lycopene, Vitamin A and C which work along with the antibiotic and astringent properties of cucumber and lemon juice to shut open pores, whiten and exfoliate skin, especially around the nose area.
